A Very Criminal Christmas! A Crime Fiction Gift Guide

Almost a month has gone by since my last posts and Christmas is almost here! As a bookworm, I can’t imagine Christmas without books. Remember that Christmas scene at the beginning of Little Women? It makes me happy and tearing and inspires me to ask and expect more and be thankful for all the books that I have available either as review copies, gifted by a beloved one, or more importantly, for free at the public library. Scott Fitzgerald is a modern classic (published with a great cover by Penguin Modern Classics) from the roaring 1920’s that tells the story of Gatsby, his friend, the narrator and Daisy Buchanan and her husband. The plot and style are typically modern, full of symbols and the story is universal: Gatsy is still trying to gain his teenage…
