Top Ten Favorite Book Covers Of Books I’ve Read

Another Tuesday, another Top Ten Tuesday by The Broke and the Bookish!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

We are told to never judge a book by its cover, but sometimes it’s impossible. There are incredibly beautiful and artistic designs out there. These are the 10 I love the most from least to more favourite. Can you guess which is my number 1?

10. Unwanted by Kristina Ohlsson

9. The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

8. Freedom by Jonathan Franzen

7. Penguin’s Clothbound editions. This is my Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell.

6. Almost English by Charlotte Mendelson

Almost English - Charlotte Mendelson

5. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy (Tie-in edition)

4. Life After Life by Kate Atkinson

3. The Scarpetta Collection Volume I by Patricia Cornwell

2. Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood (Special Edition)

1. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

I almost added The Time Traveller’s Wife to my list but it got bumped off by another book cover, lol. The covers for Almost English and the special edition of Alias Grace are fantastic too! Perhaps I will try to find that cover for AG when I get around to Atwood’s books xD

    My TTT

TTT’SW is a great novel, I really recommend it even though some people do not consider it because it was a NYT best-seller.

Those special editions of Atwood’s most famous works are a little bit expensive but totally worth it. The drawings are made in silvery ink and the interior design is reminiscent of turn-of-the-century ones.

Those are some great choices! I had TTTW on my list as well. I’ve never seen the redone cover for Alias Grace; it looks fantastic!

Thanks, Maggie! This Alias Grace cover is one celebrating Atwood’s birthday and all the collection is gorgeous. I highly recommend it for booklovers.

Well, I’m just talking about myself, but I’ve never seen that Freedom before, or the Scarpetta, or the Alias Grace – Unwanted’s new altogether for me, so I couldn’t judge on that. They’re probably just editions I’ve never seen, but it’s something I’ve noticed, looking at different blogs, generally US ones, the different covers – I remember as a teenager thinking my aunt and uncle’s book covers from Canada looked really “busy”.

Sorry, missed the comments re the Alias Grace cover – no wonder I hadn’t seen that. I adore that book, and lots of the early Atwood books, but I’m not a sci-fi fan so haven’t read that section of her work.
