30 Day Book Meme – Day 5

30 Day Book Meme:

Day 01 – The best book you read last year
Day 02 – A book that you’ve read more than three times
Day 03 – Your favorite series
Day 04 – Favorite book of your favorite series
Day 05 – A book that makes you happy The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown. I read it while I was on a summer course (10 hours a day of lessons!) and it just improved my days. The fact that the main characters love books makes the reading experience special but also, they rely on books when things go wrong, which I can completely relate to. Although this was one of my first summer readings, I can’t wait to re-read some excerpts (or even the whole book) in the following months.

  1. “Don Quixote” Truly one of the funniest books ever written! A contemporary of Shakespeare, Cervantes stays readable because he is always translated into modern day English. Cervantes’ influence on literature is incalculable, especially on the development of the modern novel. Don’t wait to read it until you’re fifty. That’s not my advice! I heard David McCullough give that advice to graduating students in a commencement address, because he had made that very mistake.

Have something to say?
