30 Day Book Meme -Day 3

30 Day Book Meme:

Day 01 – The best book you read last year                                                                                         Day 02 – A book that you’ve read more than three times
Day 03 – Your favorite series I think The Hunger Games! I never got to finish Harry Potter so, that would have been my childhood choice. But, just recently I found The Hunger Games to be something more mature and interesting than a mere YA series. I think there is a lot of social and envioronmental criticism of nowadays Western policies but also the difficult process of growin up. However, I got to admit that I haven’t read the last one in the series… I’m scared of the ending but also sad I’m done with this wonderful series!!

By the way, Team Peeta!! He is a lover, not a fighter – Elizabeth Banks (Effie)

Ooooh, that’s a good one. I was thinking of going with Hunger Games when I did this question, but I started reading HP so much younger that it won out. I might reread HG soon…it’ll be interesting to watch everything Peeta & Katniss do, now that I know how it turns out.

P.G. Wodehouse. Any book involving Bertie Wooster and his butler, Jeeves. Bertie is a rich idiot whose Aunt Agatha describes Jeeves as “Bertie’s handler.” Bertie likes to believe he’s smart, but he’s not, and often finds himself accidentally engaged to “unsuitable” young women who would either eat him alive, change him into someone else, or make him insane with dopiness. “Bertie…” “Yes…” “Don’t you think the stars are like God’s daisy chain?” A preux chevalier, he would always proceed with a marriage once engaged, but Jeeves always saves the day! It is a look back at a different day, one that never existed, except in the mind of P.G. Wodehouse.
