Book Blogger Hop 6/17-6/20

This is… my fourth Book Blogger Hop. So, here we go! But, first of all, congrats to Jennifer on her 5th wedding anniversary. Have fun, girl!

“How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?”

I have a lot of TBR lists:

  1. There is a pile of books in my bedroom: I collect them all over the year to read during the summer because my 12 literature courses don’t allow me too much time to read what I really want beyond compulsory readings and articles.
  2. I have a TBR list called 100 Books. It is a word document where I write down the title of the book, the author and a link to the book in my favourite online book store The Book Depository.
  3. Finally, I usually spend too much time browsing the nets, in a bookish way, so I got a wishlist at Book Depository. You can make it public so you can share with your friends and, maybe, you’ll get one of those books for your birthday!

So, counting the books in all of them, there must be at least 50 books in my immediate TBR list (the 100 books is not complete). I don’t like adding books just for the sake of adding them, I want to keep it real so I can really get to read them all. If I faced a TBR list of 1,000 books, I would probably feel anxious and see it as impossible. (I don’t have too much time).

  1. I TOO have a stack of books in my bedroom! Although I do have to admit my TBR is slightly more overwhemling then yours, and i TOTALLY get what you mena about it making you all anxious when it gets to big…I’m always having to tell myself to breath! LOLZ

Hop on by my blog here! And while your there check out how you can get your hands on some great books HERE, and HERE!

  2. Don’t feel anxious about your TBR. Quilters have their piles of cloth, after all, and they don’t seem anxious.

I like these two Hop questions. The short answers are a million books in the TBR (and anybody who doesn’t say the same is either lying or isn’t really much of a reader) and everything (I don’t have a favorite genre…I love them all!)

I’m joining in Book Beginnings on Friday today for the first time. I’d love to have you stop by and take a look at the first lines from Beautiful & Pointless at my blog, Readerbuzz. I always follow back! I’d also love to have you enter the June Giveaway for Anna and the French Kiss!

    1. Well, I study literature at college so, my TBR list for the academic year is huge. In order to feel free in my non-college reading time, I prefer to have just a few books.

      Thanks for visiting!

    1. Thanks, Jon! I am acutally a little bit of a freak when it comes to organizing books and notes. Thanks for visiting.

  3. I have sooo many books to read, and I just started making a list on my ipod touch of books I want to buy, which was probably not the best idea! Thanks for visiting my blog too, and in response to your question, my very favourite ultimate Stephen King book has to be It, as a really amazing, albeit terrifying, starting point! But I also recommend The Dark Tower series too because it’s utterly incredible, although much less horror-y, and a lot more adventure-y.

Sorry for the bit of a King gush, I just can’t really help myself when it comes to that man! hehe

Have something to say?
