“What are you reading now and why are you reading it?”
I am reading Small Island by Andrea Levy. It is part of my compulsory readings for my Caribbean Literature course. Plus, February is the Black History Month, so, it is a great opportunity to discover a new perspective of history. The truth is I’ve just started, but I really like it (I’d better do, because it is quite long) and I’ve also got the BBC series to compare the versions.

Nice to meet you too Rachel. Welcome to Books and Reviews!!

This was one of my favourite reads of last year, I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I recently picked up Long Song by Andrea Levy, and can’t wait to get round to it.
I am in love with Half of a Yellow Sun so far. I’m interested in your courses as you seem to read so many good books on them!

Hey Sam, thanks for coming!!
I saw Long Song in my online bookshop and I thought: this sounds great! Then I realised it was by the very same author of Small Island and I thought how curious it was. So, I’m very interested on her works right now. I also have to read Crick, Crack Monkey by Merle Hodge.
Hope you come back and enjoy my future reviews.
